Jeff Yan stated in an interview at TOKEN2049 Singapore 2025 on October 14th, Hyperliquid worries more about a "slow decline" than a black swan event. If Hyperliquid fails,it will likely not be because of the protocol itself,but because it didn't create something valuable for the world. He added that DeFi still has a long road ahead: it should reduce reliance on off chain assumptions (such as price or asset backing) and refocus on on chain consistency and long term building.
