Hyperliquid founder Jeff: The real risk isn't a black swan,it's marginalization.
Jeff Yan stated in an interview at TOKEN2049 Singapore 2025 on October 14th, Hyperliquid worries more about a "slow decline" than a black swan event. If Hyperliquid fails,it will likely not be because of the protocol itself,but because it didn't create something valuable for the world. He added that DeFi still has a long road ahead: it should reduce reliance on off chain assumptions (such as price or asset backing) and refocus on on chain consistency and long term building. Whether the existing financial system will ultimately take it seriously remains to be seen.
