We *adore* receiving love letters ♥️
The Raspberry Pi ecosystem reminds me of what hardware options and tinkering were like when I was a much younger man. I’m talking about things that weren’t purely aesthetics. I remember the days when each expansion card had purpose and vision: networking, audio, video, and whatever other connectivity suited your needs and workflow. These days, the only cards most systems will ever see are video. Everything else is baked in and fixed, which works for the vast majority of people. System building isn’t as much fun as it used to be. But the Pi? This stuff is special. And perhaps slapping together some boards isn’t necessarily grand in and of itself. But at the end of the day, I’m just a little bit closer to a useful device that will make my life a little bit easier and make for a much more exciting journey.
