Today, it's not my original cocktail, but it's not a super famous cocktail either. However, if you like floral-scented drinks, I definitely want you to try this one.
🌺Hibiscus Gin Tonic
Let me start the introduction!
Did you know that the English name for Korea's national flower, the Mugunghwa, is Hibiscus syriacus? Wow.. So the hibiscus we usually drink is actually Mugunghwa??!
Half of that is correct and half is wrong. What we commonly refer to as "hibiscus" is actually a term that encompasses "hibiscus species flowers" and does not refer to a specific species. However, in a broader category, they are all called hibiscus.
The hibiscus gin tonic I will introduce today is a very floral and delicious drink made using this hibiscus.
I made the recipe as I pleased.
First, we use hibiscus punch syrup, which brings the floral scent of hibiscus along with various sweet flavors.
Then, you just pour in the gin and tonic..
The detailed ingredients are as follows!
🌺Ingredients
Hibiscus punch syrup: 30ml
Gin: 45ml
Tonic water: fill up. (about 120ml ~ 150ml)
Once you make it and enjoy it with ice, you'll have a gin tonic that lets you feel the floral aroma!
The alcohol content is just right (probably a bit under 10 degrees...) and it's sweet, making it very enjoyable to drink ㅎㅎ
Drinks that have various modifications to the basic gin tonic are also referred to as gin tonicas!
The photo below is one I received from a friend who took a picture of the hibiscus gin tonic I introduced to them before, saying they enjoyed it well ㅋㅋ Once you taste it, you can't stop the hibiscus gin tonic!
