Base has zora (great!) but also Virtuals or farcaster-clanker eco with tons of Experiments & 10+ good Apps.
Hence, important to initially build yourself and support products to reach meaningful user bases but no need to overfocus on one (ignoring flaws) or others will fall off.
Zora @ourzora is one of the best things that’s happened to @base.
Every chain needs a unique angle - a reason to exist. Without a differentiated strategy, there’s no USP, no reason to build or use that chain.
Zora and creator coins nailed this. They’ve given creators a reason to use Base by taking the “tokenization of everything” mantra to the extreme, by tokenizing accounts and posts.
Whether this works long-term is up for debate, but the team deserves credit for trying. Pushing boundaries is how new paradigms emerge.
@jessepollak deserves more credit, not flak for backing builders and driving Base forward.
